Herb-Kitchen Growing Kits
North East Wilds has been putting together these beautiful herb-kitchen growing kits for service users of The Children's Society, to support a connection with nature, and improve wellbeing during the challenges faced of the Covid-19 pandemic. We're looking forward to see how these herbs will be used in different dishes later in the year.

Forest Lunch Club
Our forest lunch club for women in Chopwell has been put on hold so far this year, but we've still been busy supporting our participants with weekly food parcel deliveries and nature/arts activites. There's been a real enthusiasm for gardening so we're supporting this further with back-yard planters and community raised beds.
Thanks to Well Newcastle Gateshead for their flexibility and support, Tesco Fund for support with funding our food parcels, Pickle Palace for arranging amazing food parcels each week and Greentech Compost and Perennial Favourites for their incredible compost and plant contributions.

Growing Colours Project
Working with North Tyneside Art Studio and members of Edbert's House in Gateshead we're supplying these wonderful natural-dye plant kits to vulnerable people. Each kit has everything you need to grow a flowering plant that can be used to create natural dyes. Each participant has one colour to grow and in the Autumn after harvesting the colours we'll be meeting (either online or in person) to experiment with natural dying and natural watercolours.
