Service Description

Forest Folk is one of our Wellbeing Programmes and is for adults with mental health needs. Held once a month in Chopwell Woodland Park, these sessions are a great day in the woods cooking healthy food on the fire, learning new bushcraft and creative skills and relaxing in nature with great company. (+Easy access for limited mobility). There is a return-minibus that collects participants from Newcastle City, or you can make your own way there. Our wellbeing programmes are all about improving mental health and wellbeing by reconnecting to nature and to community. You can join us by being referred by someone or by referring yourself. All you need to do is get in touch with us at: hello@northeastwilds.org / 07713642169. We go ahead with our sessions in sunshine, rain, snow...but may have to cancel if the winds are too high.
